Scarlet Talks
Video direction and promotion
Leading the overhaul of the Rutgers University Career Services department's alumni advice video series, Scarlet Talks, was a huge challenge but was also extremely rewarding. In its existing state prior to my involvement, the video series needed some serious TLC. Hosted on the department's official YouTube channel, the nearly twenty existing Scarlet Talks were performing poorly. After over two years on the channel, most of the videos only received fifteen views or less. I focused on...
Reimagining the creative direction
Moving the series' home to a different social media platform
Overhauling the overall promotional strategy
Developing casting standards
Implementing a new protocol for collecting performance data
Refining the production and post-production processes
Each video received between 2-6k views per video and experienced high viewer engagement (likes, comments, shares). Each video was also featured in the Rutgers University daily newsletter, Rutgers Today.
I managed a team of two, part-time videography interns during this project.
